CAT Reporting Specialist (1-3 yrs)

Seeking a Compliance or Regulatory Operations professional with 1-3 years of experience monitoring and handling rejections/errors for CAT Reporting (or previously with OATS Reporting).

Responsibilities would include:

  • Assist clients with investigating and repairing CAT rejections/errors
  • Assist in designing and implementing controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of CAT reporting obligations
  • Monitor and track industry developments, best practices, and rules changes and participate in industry working groups

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience with CAT Reporting (or OATS Reporting), including repairing rejections and other errors
  • Knowledge of CAT Reporting requirements and experience navigating the FINRA CAT Portal
  • Experience with CAT CAIS or other broker-dealer reporting obligations a plus

 

Regulatory Reporting Specialist (5 to 7 years prior experience)

Seeking a Compliance or Regulatory Operations professional with 5-7 years of experience at a bank or broker dealer having primary responsibility for overseeing regulatory reporting obligations with a focus on swaps, derivatives, options, and non-U.S. reporting obligations (e.g., MiFID II, CFTC Swap Reporting).

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing compliance and regulatory support to clients and assisting in client implementations
  • Designing and implementing controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting obligations
  • Monitoring and tracking industry developments, best practices, and rules changes as well as participating in industry working groups
  • Liaising with regulatory staff to maintain open lines of communication and assist clients, as needed

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience with CFTC and security-based swaps reporting
  • Knowledge of CFTC/NFA and SEC SBSR rules, regulations, and industry best practices
  • Experience with other global reporting obligations such as MiFID II and EMIR
  • Experience with LOPR and other U.S. broker dealer reporting obligations a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

 

Implementation Specialist (2 to 5 years prior experience)

Join our business implementation team as a product implementation specialist. Working with a team of some of the most experienced people in the finance industry, you will be responsible for implementing and managing data control processes across some of the top banks and brokers. The position provides for direct interaction with customers and provides a great opportunity to gain experience across multiple firms and segments of the finance industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Configuration of the firm’s proprietary compliance monitoring and reconciliation software for clients across various industries and reporting regimes with primary focus on broker dealer transaction reporting
  • Manage multiple aspects of client implementation projects including, but not limited to, project management, business and trade flow analysis, data analysis, workflow design, training, documentation, and production support
  • Client relationship management
  • Coordinate with technical implementation managers and developers on product enhancements and client software upgrades

Desired Skills and Experience:

The position requires a self-starter with strong communication and technical skills, the ability to understand and adapt to a wide variety of compliance and data analytical projects, and the desire and ability to maintain the company’s strong compliance monitoring program and record.

  • Business, Computer Science, or Engineering degree
  • Technical mindset with strong Excel skills or other technical skills (VBA, Python, SQL) preferred
  • Familiarity with broker dealer transaction reporting requirements (Consolidated Audit Trail, Electronic Blue Sheets, TRACE, LOPR, etc.) is a plus
  • Prior experience designing reconciliations or performing exception management in reconciliations, or another capacity is a plus
  • Operational understanding of broker dealer trade flows in Equities, Options, or other products preferred
  • Strong time management skills

 

Implementation Manager (5 to 10 years prior experience)

Join our business implementation team as a product implementation manager. Working alongside a team of some of the most experienced people in the finance industry you will be responsible for the designing and implementing control processes across our clients’ critical compliance data. The role involves the management of junior implementation specialists but is hands on in nature and requires individuals that can manage a team but also do the work themselves, when needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design, Implement, and test data control processes across our client base
  • Manage and ensure the quality of work delivered by your direct reports
  • Manage implementation projects interfacing directly with clients to ensure deliveries are complete, on-time, and meet client’s requirements
  • Provide guidance to direct reports on overall control implementation requirements
  • Become an expert in product implementation and configuration with objective of managing direct reports but also doing project work, where required
  • Coordinate with technical implementation managers and developers on product enhancements, upgrades, and control changes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Technical Implementation Specialist (2 to 5 years prior experience)

Join our technical implementation team as a technical implementation specialist. Working with a team of some of the most experienced people in the finance industry you will be responsible for the technical aspects of our product implementations across some of the top banks and broker. In this role you will be working directly with our business implementation teams, internal technical and development resources and our client’s technical teams to ensure product implementations are complete and operating properly from a technical perspective.

Responsibilities include:

  • Scripting of client installations and integration with job schedules and monitoring processes
  • Testing troubleshooting client run jobs
  • Contributing to design and implementation of product’s python scripting interface
  • Interact with various types of databases in order to pull and shape data into different formats for data collection and statistical analysis
  • Contribute to ongoing product development and improvement effort
  • Draft, update and implement firm policies, procedures & templates associated with each bespoke client build in addition to n-Tier proprietary documentation requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • The position requires a self-starter with strong communication and technical skills, the ability to understand and adapt to a wide variety of compliance and data analytical projects, and the desire and ability to maintain the company’s strong compliance monitoring program and record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering
  • Experience coding in Python and Java
  • Proficiency in SQL is essential along with an understanding of databases
  • Strong time management skills
  • Technical writing skills an asset
  • Familiarity with applicable broker dealer regulations Blue Sheets, OATS, Consolidated Audit Trail, TRACE, and Short Interest are a plus

 

Senior Software Developer (10+ years prior experience)

As a senior member of our software engineering team, you will be involved in the ongoing design and development of core data management platform.  You will be expected to contribute to our ongoing product architecture and design effort as well as provide technical leadership and mentoring of other software developers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, bug fixes, and development for our core product, as required
  • Design, development, and testing of new product modules
  • Design, development, and testing of expansions to existing product modules
  • Lead and mentor team members
  • Partner with implementation/deployment teams for continuous improvement of our services

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science
  • 7 to 10+ years of experience working on large scale code bases for web services applications or other software components
  • 7+ years of experience with Java programming stack
  • Proficiency in software engineering practices for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Track record in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and performance tuning within production environments
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals
  • Strong knowledge of RDBMS, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
  • Experience in JVM related activities (heap dump analysis, garbage collection, caching, etc.)
  • Experience working on high volume data processing software

 

Junior Software Developer (2+ years of working experience)

As a junior member of our software engineering team, you will be involved in the ongoing development of our data management platform.  You will be expected to contribute to our code base on a daily basis as well as review, troubleshoot and debug code.

Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, bug fixes, and development for our core product, as required
  • Design, development, and testing of new product modules
  • Design, development, and testing of expansions to existing product modules
  • Partner with implementation/deployment teams for continuous improvement of our services

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science
  • 2+ years of working experience with Java programming stack: Java beans, JSP, JEE, JavaScript
  • Proficiency in software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Track record in problem-solving, troubleshooting and debugging code
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and operating systems
  • Knowledge of RDBMS, Oracle and PostgreSQL databases preferred

 

Development Operations Manager (7+ years prior experience)

As a senior member of our infrastructure management team, you will be responsible for the development, deployment, and ongoing management of our hosted application environment. You will be expected to contribute to help evolve our deployment architecture and design effort with a focus on both security and client onboarding efficiency and overall platform manageability.

Responsibilities include:

  • Improvements to and ongoing development of terraform scripting environment
  • Automate new client and infrastructure rollout pipeline
  • Review and manage security, patching, upgrades across hosted infrastructure
  • Mange onboarding of new clients into hosted infrastructure

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science
  • 7+ years of experience with large scale deployment operations for web services platform
  • In depth experience with development operations automation and platform orchestration
  • Expert knowledge of AWS
  • Expert knowledge of cloud security best practices
  • Hands on experience implementing and managing terraform infrastructure stacks
